How do I register for a course?

We prefer if you please complete the online registration form.  (link) Alternatively, you can register Saturday September 8 ( 10:30 am – 1:00 pm) at our registration day. There are no classes that day. You can also register by coming early on the first day of classes, either Tuesday September 11 ( 5:30 pm) or Saturday September 15 ( 9:30 am)

Will I get a certificate at the end of my course?

If you need one, we will provide a statement of attendance which contains the duration of the course as well as the level in which you were registered.

How many levels do you offer?

We offer 5 levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Beginners Conversation and Advanced Conversation. Many of our students enroll more than once in each level.

Do I need to buy a textbook?

Yes, you do. We use “Vente 1” and “Pronto y Practico” Conversation classes do not require a textbook.

What if I already know some Spanish?  What if the level of the class is too low, or too high?

We have placement test for you to take on registration day. However, if you feel that the level in your class is too high/low, you can change the class without any problem.

How many students are there in the classes?

The maximum number of students per class is 20. The average student number per class is 10 to 12 people.

What about parking?

There is ample free parking available at the back of Braemar school, the facility we rent from Edmonton Public Schools.

What should I do if I cannot attend one or more classes?

We appreciate if you please advise us in advance if you will be absent. Also, if you communicate (by email or in person) prior to your absence with the school administrator, we offer you the opportunity to attend make-up classes for a class you may have to miss. For example, if you normally attend Saturday, but must miss one week, you are welcome to a make up class on a Tuesday – and vice versa.

Where is the school located?

BRAEMAR SCHOOL is located at 9359 – 67A Street (use the back door by the parking lot).
